Job Description:
West Michigan Orthopaedics, a respected independent orthopedic practice, is seeking a Per Diem X-Ray Technician to support its clinical team on an as-needed basis.
This is a job-share position with core coverage needs on Tuesdays and Fridays, with additional shifts available to cover for the job-share partner or other absences.
This role offers a great opportunity for a flexible and dependable technician looking to work in a daytime-only outpatient setting, no nights, weekends, or holidays required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-Ray equipment.
Prepare and position patients for imaging exams with an emphasis on safety and comfort.
Operate equipment following established safety and quality standards.
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and coordinate with physicians as needed.
Maintain accurate and compliant patient records.
Keep equipment and work areas clean and well-maintained.
Educate patients about imaging procedures and provide support throughout the process.
Assist with occasional phone coverage and general clinic duties.
Qualifications:
ARRT certification preferred (equivalent education or experience will be considered).
Comfortable using EMRs and general computer systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior orthopedic imaging experience is helpful but not required.
Reliable and adaptable, with a professional, team-oriented attitude.
