Per Diem Operating Room RNs - NJ
Are you a skilled and compassionate Operating Room RN seeking a rewarding career opportunity in New Jersey? Gotham Companies is hiring dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Operating Room teams in Bayonne, NJ or Secaucus, NJ!
This is a Full-time role. The schedule may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. ALL Operating room nurses are required to have On-call flexibility after 3 months of employment.
Shifts: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts are available

About the Role
As an OR RN with Gotham Companies, you will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will be a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring patient safety, maintaining a sterile environment, and delivering high-quality care throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within the perioperative setting.
Assess patient health status prior to, during, and after surgery.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient vital signs and identify/respond to any complications.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Prepare the operating room and ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
Assist surgeons during procedures.
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.
Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative care.
Supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare personnel as appropriate.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in operating room procedures and protocols.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency in using electronic health records.
Experience & Education:
Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an OR RN is preferred.
Education: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
License & Certifications: A current and valid New Jersey RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are all required. CNOR certification is preferred.
