Job Description

Pay rate ranges from $20.06 to $22.92 based on experience. Immediate Opening: Revenue Cycle Specialist (Temporary), you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing, coding, and collection of medical services. This position requires a strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and medical terminology and is on onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Monitor billing for accuracy, identifying billing and/or coding errors, and ensure timely filing.
Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to maximum reimbursement.
Submit claims electronically or via paper.
Maintain accurate patient accounts and post payments.
Monitor accounts; Determine when to send patient accounts to collections, per policy.
Answer and make phone calls related to billing, both patient and insurance.


Education, Experience, Training:


High School Diploma or GED certificate
2-3 years+ of experience in medical collections/accounts receivables. ASC experience is preferred.
Well versed in CPT, HCPCS Level II codes, ICD-10-CM
Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes, e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
